We need volunteers in various fields, Education, Medical, for Emergency situations or simply for creating awareness. If you are willing to volunteer, we take all the details about you, and keep your profile with us. You will be asked to take up programs with in your specialised and interested areas. But, irrespective of your specialised skills, you can always do something when somebody is in need. If you cannot help somebody directly, then, you must refer the problem to your regional co-ordinator or a board member in your reachable area, who can take care of the situation.
One of your major tasks is to oversee the growth and progress after helping a person in need. More than financial help, your moral help, support and timely advise works really great for them. After you help somebody, make sure you are reachable to them, and try to be in touch with them until the person in need can stand on his/her feet.
Your biggest task is to create awareness about charity, help and social responsibility. Every human being can help others if they find the right situation, environment and get an opportunity to help. Your responsibility is to create such environment and explain people how they can help.

Since its inception , the RAVELARA Rural Development Trust has worked to support the underprivileged in society and enrich their lives. Promoted by Sreelatha Geeni , a bussiness enterproner and a social worker, the Foundation began its work in Pitlam ,Nizamabad Ditrict ,planning to extend its activities to other districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Orphans and Poor Kids
Since its inception , the RA VE LA RA Rural Development Trust has worked to support the underprivileged in society and enrich their lives. Healthcare and Medical
Making quality healthcare affordable and accessible has been the objective of the Trust ever since its inception. The Trust has initiated several activities that benefit the rural and urban poor. Apart from organizing health camps and health awareness programmes, the Trust also distributes medicines to economically weaker sections of the society.

Even after 60 years of Independence, villages in and around Pitlam continue to remain backward due to a combination of natural, social and economic tribulation. They include illiteracy, unemployment and lack of sanitation, water–borne diseases, malnutrition, alcoholism and scarce medical facilities among others.
RA VE LA RA Rural Developement Trust seeks to address the needs of societies most neglected. The problems are colossal. The Trust is lighting a candle instead of cursing the darkness. Its contribution to reduce these problems may amount to a drop in the ocean today. All the same, the ocean is richer by a drop.

While a lot is spoken of equal rights for women in India, the situational reality of the status of women in India, particularly in rural areas, is pathetic.
Gender disparity manifests itself in various forms, the most obvious being the trend of continuously declining female population rates in the last few decades. The underlying causes of gender inequality are related to social and economic factors. Consequently, the access for women, particularly those in the rural areas, to education and health among others is inadequate.
RA VE LA RA Rural Development Trust aims at a holistic approach to the development of women to enable them to realize their full potential and establish a dignified status for themselves in the society.

Increased awareness is needed for easier acceptance and to remove the stigma attached to seeking counselling or psychiatric help for children
More training should be given to school teachers to handle mental, emotional and behavioural problems in kids
More specialised counselling courses should be introduced
Parenting workshops should be organised at various levels to explain the needs of children
A healthy, open rapport system should be built between parents and schools
Regular students' workshops are needed for different age groups to give them better social, emotional and lifestyle skills
Officials guidelines are needed to make it mandatory for schools to conduct regular mental health workshops and medical check-ups for students
With current socio-technological changes and educational demands, Counseling is
becoming a major area of concern for in-school youths. The large number of students in
schools, limited number of trained teacher counselors, heavy work load, socio-economic
and technological changes all put pressure on the teachers, students, parents and society.
No wonder, there is frequent demand for counseling to help address some of these
problems.
Whereas Guidance and counseling in Secondary schools should help the students: plan
and prepare for their work roles after high school, with personal growth and
development, plan and prepare for postsecondary schooling, and with their academic

Public awareness among climate changes:
-The development and implementation of educational and public awareness programmes on climate change and its effects;
- Public access to information on climate change and its effects;
- Adopting a participatory process for addressing climate change and its effects. Similar approach should also be adopted in developing adequate responses to climate change and its effects; and
- Organizing and providing to scientific, technical and managerial personnel for climate change mitigation
Public awareness among health care:
-Bacteriological contamination of water continues to occur in the distribution system and often surface water is used without treatment or disinfecting facilities.Moreover the high concentration of soluble organic matter encourages the rapid growth of bacteria.
-Basic sanitation is poor. Sanitary conditions are dismal in squatter areas, many of which have no hygienic means of waste disposal. New housing schemes, factories, commercial institutions and industries have been developed without complying with the existing land development laws. In fact, individual septic tanks and pit latrines are often the only means of sewage disposal and are frequently not constructed at the recommended distance from the water supply.
-Food contamination also constitutes an important health risk. Despite Government regulations and food inspection programmes, the chemical contamination of food continues to occur. Enforcement mechanisms are weak.
Art and culture
Keeping in mind, the economic status of children and their poor access to water and sanitation, special attention is paid to ensuring their health and hygiene. Alongside human values such as love, compassion, service and care for the environment are also inculcated in them. The children are also taught self-development skills and training .
